Job Description
A SolidWorks product design contracting opportunity has arison within the West Midlands area. This is a 6-8 week contract role within a creative industrial design team.The project is focussed on the design of plastic injection moulded components to be used within the medical sector. An understanding of tooling design or experience in the design of injection moulded components for manufacture is required. SolidWorks surfacing skills, advanced part and assembly modelling are essential for this contract. Please note that we are interested in hearing from SolidWorks "super user" and highly commended product designers for this position. Confidence, a professional manner and the ability to manage Product Design projects from concept through to the detail design phase is a fair description of the characteristics we typically seek for this type of contract position.We always enjoy hearing from designers who have a passion for SolidWorks 3D CAD.
Qualifications & Experience
A successful SolidWorks Product Designer with a very strong portfolio in the design of injection moulded components for medical use or general consumer product design projects is ideal.An award winning Product Designer with a successful career in designing a wide range of products for manufacture would appeal. An individual with both a very strong portfolio of design for manufacture projects AND can compete well with Product Designers from RCA or Central St Martins is desired also. Fundamentally, we seek further SolidWorks Product Designers that have consistently delivered in the design of injection moulded components while also carrying an impressive portfolio of aesthetically pleasing product design solutions.
