Geojobi SolidWorks Designer Coverage

Geojobi® launched with the simple goal of asking SolidWorks Designers "Where Do You Want to Work?"

This basic question has allowed hundreds of SolidWorks Designers to define their personal and business needs using our innovative maps and travel radius features.

We are very pleased to see that in just 2 weeks since entering the market Geojobi has attracted SolidWorks designers who can provide services in every part of England, UK. There is still more work to do in Scotland and in a few remote parts of Wales however we believe that these will be covered within a few weeks time.

During the creation and subsequent development of Geojobi our team recognised that the real value of the Geojobi solution was not just in it's SolidWorks Jobs focus, but more in it's ability to identify where designers want to work while capturing the variation in salary for each geographical location.

While the number of Geojobi® users continue to grow day by day, we expect that the value Geojobi® can offer to employers will be immense. Never before have SolidWorks engineers been able to simply communicate their financial requirements of a job by geographic location and this benefit will help Employers identify more relevant individuals in their search.

To see images showing the number of SolidWorks Users on geojobi after 14 days from Launch you can visit Geojobi News

Solid Contracts Ltd provide SolidWorks skilled engineers who come from a wide range of backgrounds so when you're considering investing in your next 3D CAD solution (hopefully like many others you will choose SolidWorks!) then it can be useful to know that finding a design engineer does not need to be such a challenging task.

Solid Contracts has supported design consultancies, manufacturing firms and engineering design companies that use SolidWorks and many times the need for a new SolidWorks engineer has come hand in hand with the need for a new SolidWorks license.

Solid Contracts Ltd is a recruitment company that networks and searches for permanent, contract and freelance design engineers with SolidWorks experience. This is all we do!

As part of our service we developed a very novel solution for the market place which changes the way we think about recruiting SolidWorks designers. We invented and developed the Geojobi® solution to support employers that did not wish to use recruitment services yet want to gain access to a large network of SolidWorks engineers.

To see how many SolidWorks engineers or Product Designers 'Want To Work' in your specific location simply sign up to a free Employer account on the Geojobi Employer Site

and type in your Post Code.

Are You An ARTIST or an ENGINEER?

When our team of Product Designers at Solid Contracts Ltd developed the Geojobi® solution they found themselves asking deep questions about how a Product Designer or Mechanical Engineer can express their design interests in a simple way.

Of course Product Designers are complex creatures and many will disagree that such a thing can be done effectively. We genuinely dont know whether our ArtEngineer solution is reliable however we do know that it raises many questions and helps interviewers discover new sides to a design engineers interests.

We have started asking the following questions on social media sites such as LinkedIn, twitter and facebook:

1) Are you an ARTIST or an ENGINEER?
2) Do you prefer IDEAS or DETAILS?

The Geojobi iPhone App already includes this feature within the solution so Product Designers with SolidWorks skills can share their very personal desires about the type of designer they want to be in a very quick way.

The WebApp solution does not currently have this feature however subject to the feedback and responses we see from our Polls we will decide on whether or not such a feature is beneficial to users of Geojobi.

It’s a Patent Pending SolidWorks® focused job board that aims to help designers find more relevant opportunities.

You may not be interested in training if you are already a master of SolidWorks.

However the training we’re offering is actually a training passport with on of the UK SolidWorks® resellers. This would entitle you to attend as many of their courses as you want all over the UK.

They run courses for every aspect of SolidWorks® including Essentials, Simulation, Surfacing, ePDM, Rendering etc.

SolidWorks on IPhone 5.0

While sitting at my desk patiently waiting for iTunes to download todays iPhone iOS 5.0 software update, I started thinking about the day when Apple and SolidWorks start playing together.

I'm convinced that when this happens it will be using some type of Cloud solution and will integrate nicely within the touch screen of Apples current products. PDM Enterprise will integrate as standard to manage the cloud data while holographic previews using the latest optical technology will help designers share ideas faster in interactive design teams.

I think that change is the most exciting factor in the technology industry. As designers new ideas open up new challenges to solve, which I personally believe keeps us fresh, excited and sharp.

SolidWorks is not yet available on iOS 5 but Apple are changing the way we work through their incredible products and I'm sure that all CAD developers are watching these changes with great interest.

Solid Contracts is now being recognised across the UK for their specialist SolidWorks recruitment services.

Once upon a time new business opportunities for Solid Contracts were only uncovered through lots of cold calling, networking events and magazine advertising. After a few years of riding out the UKs latest recession and keeping a focus on the SolidWorks Designer market place, Solid Contracts is now seeing a rise in new business through word of mouth. It seems that when a business can focus on doing one thing well then the results soon follow.

While many businesses are still downsizing and making redundancies, Solid Contracts has been growing. Year two results show a 43% increase in revenue and a significant improvement on the Right First Time Score for contract and permanent placements.

2011 will be a great year for Solid Contracts and SolidWorks. There are some exciting developments occurring in both companies so stay in contact with our team to find out how your design career could benefit from the latest investments in processes and technology.

Remember that to find the perfect job (if it really exists!), you should be talking to Solid Contracts team both when you are looking for work and when you are happy in your current role. If you do this then the "perfect" opportunity will find you.

In March 2010, Solid Contracts Ltd, The SolidWorks Recruitment Company, moved into larger premises based in central Bournemouth, 5 minutes walk from the beach and only 2 hours from central London by car or train.

The new offices allow Solid Contracts to grow the team significantly over the next 9 months and improve their capabilities in managing the increased demand for SolidWorks jobs through out the UK.

The new facilities are part of the continuous improvement plan which has already seen dramatic changes in the teams ability to identify, select and introduce a single SolidWorks design engineer without the need for multiple CVs.

The offices will hold up to 8 full time SolidWorks Recruitment Consultants who will focus on supporting both permanent and contract SolidWorks jobs located in England, Scotland and Wales. The Solid Contracts part time staff and out-of-office team will also benefit from the serviced offices, which can be accessed at a moment notice.

In order introduce a scaleable communications solution within the business Solid Contracts is also changing it's phone number to 01202 314 444. Nevertheless the previous phone number of 01202 313 666 will remain in place for the forseable future.

"As the business continues to grow we must ensure that the quality of design engineers that are introduced to our clients keeps improving. Our focus on "Right First Time" metrics and our continued commitment to networking solely within the SolidWorks market place gives all Solid Contracts clients and design engineers a very different recruitment consultancy experience."

### FREE MAINSTREAM 3D CAD LICENSES WITH PLACEMENT! ####

At Solid Contracts we asked ourselves; what would be better than investing your business profits into a license of a world class 3D CAD system such as SolidWorks 2010? The answer we came up with was rather simple; Invest money in people and get 3D CAD software for FREE!

After a great deal of thought and planning we have done it. You can buy 3D CAD software at a very competitive price but we want you to invest your profits in finding the best design engineers for your team. We already believe that products like SolidWorks offer the best mainstream 3D CAD solution for design teams so take the costs away and you have a truly powerful 3D CAD solution with an immediate ROI.

As a promotion of our services, we, The SolidWorks Recruitment Company, are offering to cover the costs of a Mainstream 3D CAD license with every placement made at our standard fee, before 19th November 2009.

Finding the right people at the right time in their career with the right capabilities is not an easy task. We specialise specifically on identifying the best design engineers with SolidWorks capabilities for you.

To align this promotion with the powerful capabilities provided by products like SolidWorks 2010 we have designed an offer that gives you more 3D CAD functionality based on the salary level of your new employee. For example, with SolidWorks Licenses we would offer:

Get 1 x SolidWorks Classic License with every £20,000 to £25,000 placement

Get 1 x SolidWorks Professional License with every £25,000 to £30,000 placement

Get 1 x SolidWorks Premium License with every £30,000 to £35,000 placement

We aim to be different so if you have previously seen any other recruitment promotion similar to this one then we’ll also include some 3D CAD branded stationary in our offer!

Please note that in order for us to offer the best service to our customers we are limiting this offer to the first 20 companies that contact us.

Please do contact us for full terms and conditions relating to this offer. We expect this offer of FREE 3D CAD Software to be taken up within a matter of days so do not hesitate to get in touch today.

(Please note that Solid Contracts does not claim to represent or offer any services on behalf of any 3D CAD organisation such as SolidWorks Corp, Dassault Corp or any of it's subsidiaries.)
