Reporting to the tool design department co-ordinator, he/she will be responsible for producing complete detailed tool design packages, to include all technical aspects. •Participates as a key member of a Multi-Discipline Team (MDT) on an NPI programme, being responsible for developing the production tooling whilst fully understanding the associated problems, constraints and objectives for a given development product.
•Primarily responsible for generating working tool design drawings to EN BS 8888 using the supplied CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD). 
•Assist NPI teams in defining costs and milestones for the tool design element of Programme Plans.
•Demonstrate effective communication skills with process customers, i.e. NPI and operation representatives and have the ability to liase with suppliers on all matters in collaboration with tooling design, including material selection and design methodologies.
•Proactively find and identify areas for continual improvement and then to implement the solutions based on future state map.  Opportunities for improvement should be discussed with your manager.
•Provides regular tooling process status reports, as required.
•Demonstrate an assertive approach to drive for success. This may include taking on additional and agreed responsibilities required by the business.
